Safety Instructions for visitors

REGISTRATION & GENERAL

DEAR VISITORS AND GUESTS,

This flyer will help familiarise you with important safety rules and our codes of conduct, which is important to guarantee your safety and the safety of our employees. Please help us by following our rules as requested. Thank you!

REGISTRATION

Visitors should register at our reception desk. Contractors of logistics, building services or operation and maintenance department please register at your ROWA contact in the relevant unit. We will register you in our system and issue you a visitor ID for the duration of your visit. Please wear this ID visibly during your stay on the company premises. Please do not move on your own without your ROWA contact unless we give you permission for that. At the end of your visit, please inform the reception or ROWA contact on your departure.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

While moving at our premises, please pay attention to forklift trucks and delivery traffic. Especially when taking a phone call or otherwise using your mobile phone! Recordings of all kinds (photos, video, audio, etc.) are prohibited, except approval has been expressly given. For fire hazardous work (e.g. welding, angle grinding, all work involving heat) and other dangerous work, permission of your client and the responsible contact person is always required. Please do not remove any documents, copies or other objects without express permission and always keep a safe distance from products, goods, machinery and plant systems.

PERSONAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Personal safety equipment must be worn when entering our production areas! Please observe the following mandatory signs and wear protective equipment as required. Your ROWA contact will give necessary instructions and provide the suitable equipment.

PROHIBITIVE AND WARNING SIGNS

Various prohibitory and warning signs are posted in our Production areas. Please observe these signs for your own safety and the safety of our employees. Please direct any questions to you ROWA contact person.

HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES

At our company premises we store and work with hazardous substances. These substances can be identified by symbols on packaging and containers as shown below. Please avoid touching or handling any of these substances at all times. If you have any questions, please contact your ROWA contact or any of our employees. For work involving hazardous substances, a permission of your client and the responsible contact person is always required.

ACCIDENT & FIRST AID

In case of an accident or first aid is required, please contact your ROWA contact person or one of our medical support staff ( -331).

EMERGENCY 0–112

First aid kits are located in various places in each of our buildings. Please use these kits if you need to. Afterwards, please always report back to reception or your ROWA contact person.

EMERGENCY EXITS AND RESCUE ROUTES

Escape routes on our premises are marked with following signs and symbols. Emergency exit/evacuation route plans are displayed in all of our units. Please make sure you know where the exits are located and which alarms are used in the area you are visiting/working in. In emergency case or alarm sounds, please follow the evacuation routes as marked. These offer the quickest route out of each building. Once outside, please proceed to the nearest assembly point near the factory gates. Please wait there for further instructions. Assistance will be provided by your ROWA contact.

FIRE SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Our fire safety equipment is marked with the following symbols: Fire extinguishers are always directly accessible and can – and should – be used by anyone in case of a fire.

IN CASE OF FIRE

If a fire breaks out, the golden rule is: Stay calm!

  1. SOUND THE ALARM
    Use a fire alarm call point

    ALWAYS: Call the Building Services dept. on - 999 (internal)
     
  2. GET TO SAFETY
    Use the escape routes! Close doors and windows! Help other people if necessary! Go directly to the nearest assembly point!
     
  3. TRY TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE!
    Wherever possible, try to extinguish a fi re if it is still small, but do NOT put yourself in danger!

ASSEMBLY POINT

In emergency case or alarm sounds, please go immediately to the nearest assembly point. This is important, as we will need to perform a head count to check that everyone on the premises is safe and sound. Wait for further instructions and please direct any questions to your ROWA contact. Our assembly points are located near the factory gates.
